The First Presbyterian Church of Scipioville was organized in 1873, and we have been worshiping God in this community ever since.  Some of our members are descended from founders, while others are more recent residents. New and native, young and old, we delight in Jesus’ instruction to “bear one another’s burdens” as we grow together in faith and service.

We are a “country church” in our rural location, in friendliness and caring.  Our members come from surrounding communities in southern Cayuga County.  We are occupationally diverse, made up of farmers, educators, medical professionals, retirees, office workers, stay-at-home and self-employed.  We are also diverse philosophically and politically, but because we love and serve the same God in Jesus Christ, we honor one another’s differences.

Visitors and newcomers are always welcome to worship and fellowship at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday morning. Sunday School classes for all ages meet at 9 a.m. from September through May.
